As the weather gets cooler and a little moodier, it’s officially fantasy season for me—and The Heartless Hunter by Kristen Ciccarelli was the perfect book to pick up! The character development was spot-on, and the magic system in this world? Totally unique and unlike anything I’ve read before.

Think love triangles, deception, enemies-to-lovers, and just the right amount of angst. I got completely sucked into this book and couldn’t put it down. It’s almost a 5-star read for me—so, so close!

The best part? It’s a duology, and the second book comes out in February, which is just enough time for me to recover from my Onyx Storm hangover. If you’re a fantasy lover, add this one to your list ASAP!
