QuickSilver by Callie Hart

QuickSilver by Callie Hart

I recently read QuickSilver by Callie Hart on a trip to Austria, and it turned out to be the best 10+ hour flight I've ever experienced. This book has been all over social media, and while I saw the glowing reviews, I didn’t know much about the actual story. They say not to judge a book by its cover—but I did. With low expectations, I cracked it open... and to my surprise, I got completely sucked in! It became the perfect companion for a long flight because I couldn’t put it down.

If you're in the mood for a dark, gritty, and intoxicating romance, QuickSilver should definitely be on your radar. By the third chapter, I was pulled into Hart's intense and unpredictable world. The magic system felt fresh and unique, which was a pleasant surprise for a story about Fae (something I didn’t even know going in). The world-building hooked me, but what kept me invested were the characters and their growth.

Both protagonists are damaged, yet fiercely resilient, making them compelling from the start. Their chemistry is undeniable, but the personal journey and plotline were equally intriguing. The balance between the romance and the larger story kept me fully immersed.

If you're looking for a book that keeps you on edge with equal doses of heartache and intensity, QuickSilver is a must-read
