Be Kind Book Club August Review

This was one of the strangest books I've ever read. Imagine Gossip Girl set in London, where trashy TV drama meets the written word.
I’m not a fan of designer clothing and all the fashion talk, so that aspect of Magnolia Parks didn’t resonate with me—I just didn’t care for it. But what really stood out to me was the depiction of one of the most toxic relationships I’ve ever encountered in a book. Magnolia and her partner intentionally hurt each other over and over, just to reassure themselves that the other still cares. It was maddening! I kept wanting to grab Magnolia by the cheeks and yell some sense into her. Lol.
And yet, somehow, I still flew through this book. I’m not sure what that says about me, but it definitely left me with a lot to think about.
